Please note that due to component obsolescence, the ABB high level dissolved oxygen sensor; part number PN 8012170 has been discontinued.

The implication of this is that the various configurations of the “9408” dissolved oxygen system, can no longer be operated, once the current operational sensor fitted reaches the end of its serviceable life.

To this end, it is our recommendation that, with immediate effect, the now obsolete “9408” system should be actively migrated to the new digital “ADS420,” reporting to an “AWT420” transmitter with full details and specifications found under the manufacturer download sections, here:

On swapping out the 9408 sensor system and its associated transmitter, KC Controls can currently offer:

• Configuration and supply of a complete, new system, currently available with a promotional price on the digitally configured “AWT420” transmitter.*

• Or the configuration and supply of a complete, new system on a ninety-day trial basis.**

*Subject to disclosure of full existing system configuration and a photograph of the current transmitter’s legend plate.

** Subject to disclosure of full existing system configuration, against which a quotation will be generated and ordered against, with payment settlement within a ninety-day, sale or return basis. Note that if returned within this time frame, the equipment needs to be complete, cleaned, decontaminated and in its original packaging.
